SECOY-COHEN
Courtney Allison Secoy, daughter of Robin and the late Gary Secoy of Fort Worth, Texas, and Gregory Scott Cohen, son of Becky and Larry Cohen of Manchester, have announced their engagement.
She is the granddaughter of Frances Garrett and the late Robert Garrett and the late Carmen and the late Lauren Secoy, all of Fort Worth, Texas.
He is the grandson of Melvin Sokol and the late Helen Sokol of Kansas City, and the late Margaret and the late Samuel Cohen of St. Louis. The bride-to-be is a graduate of Southwest High School in Fort Worth, and Louisiana State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in music performance and the New England Conservatory where she earned her master’s degree in music performance and also a graduate diploma.
She is currently a music librarian for the Kansas City Symphony. Greg is a graduate of Parkway West High School and Boston University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in percussion performance and New England Conservatory where he received a master’s in percussion performance. He is currently the principal percussionist for the San Diego Symphony.
A June, 2009 wedding is planned.
MITTIN-SALSMAN
Stacey Beth Mittin, daughter of Fern and Neil Mittin of Huntingdon Valley, Pa., and Andrew Jay Salsman, son of Iris and Earl Salsman of Clayton, were married June 22, 2008 at Beth Sholom Congregation in Elkins Park, Pa., where Rabbi David Glanzerg-Krainin, Rabbi Emeritus Aaron Landes and Cantor David Tilman officiated.
A wedding reception followed the ceremony at the synagogue. She is the granddaughter of Harriet and Gerald Finestone of Philadelphia, and Nettie and the late Stanley “Bud” Mittin of Willow Grove, Pa.
He is the grandson of the late Gertrude (Silverstein) Alpert and the late Ralph Alpert of Marblehead, Ma., and Anne and the late Walter Salsman of University City.
The bride chose Fern Mittin, her mother, as matron of honor. Jamie Mittin, sister of the bride was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Amy Becker, Hollyl Policastro, Jennifer Rosen and Sarah Sauer, all friends of the bride.
The groom chose A.J. Abrams, a close friend, as best man. Groomsmen were Jeremy Melnick, Benjamin Rothmel and James Schulman, all friends of the groom.
Following a wedding trip to the Greek Islands, the couple resides in Arlington, Va.
