Beverly and Maynard Chervitz of Chesterfield will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, March 30, 2008. They were married in 1958 at Tpheris Israel Chevra Kadisha in Richmond Heights. They are the children of the late Faye and Leon Richman and the late Beckie and Charles Chervitz.

Their greatest pleasure is spending Jewish holidays and special outings with their children Debbie and Gary Chervitz and Marianne and Steven Chervitz who blessed them with four loving grandchildren, Madeline, Lindsey, Jordan and Allison.

The Chervitzes have been longtime members of Congregation B’nai Amoona and Brith Sholom Kneseth Israel. Throughout the years, Beverly has been very active in the Jewish community through her professional involvement with Central Agency for Jewish Education, Jewish Federation, the JCC and Jewish Center for Aged. Inspired by her family, she is most proud of becoming a bat mitzvah at the age of 51. Bev volunteers her time as a tap dancer with the St. Louis Strutters and the Missouri Cameo Club. She tutors young children in developing language and reading skills through the OASIS Intergenerational Tutor Program. In 2006, she was named first runner-up in the Ms. Missouri Senior America Pageant and was honored by her peers who voted her Ms. Congeniality.
