Michelle Marisa Garfield, daughter of Scott and Bari Garfield of Shaker Heights, Ohio, and Clifford Stephen Chaitman, son of Gloria and Bernard Chaitman of Ladue, Mo., have announced their engagement.

She is the granddaughter of Flora and the late Bernard Garfield, Harriet and the late Alvin Shangold.

He is the grandson of the late Anne and the late Max Klepper and Lorraine and Henry Chaitman.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Parkway Central High School and the University of Missouri where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.

She is currently a registered nurse.

Her fiance is a graduate of Ladue Horton Watkins High School and Muhlenberg College where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in natural science and Washington University School of Business where he earned an MBA degree.

He is currently an equity research analyst.

A July wedding is planned.
