KOENIG-FISCHER:

Amanda Charleigh Koenig, daughter of Dr. Gary and Betsy Koenig of Chesterfield, Mo., and Douglas Howard Fischer, son of Jerry and Malory Fischer of Warren, N.J., have announced their engagement. She is the granddaughter of Dr. Marvin and Barbara Koenig and Barbara Bahn and the late Gilbert Silverberg of Boca Raton, Fla. He is the grandson of the late Robert and Shirley Fischer and the late Al and Rita Haas.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Whitfield School and The George Washington University where she earned a B.A. degree in communications and graduated with honors. She is currently Director of Sales and Operations for Intelligent Office of Northern Virginia.

Her fiance is a graduate of Watchung Hills Regional High School and The George Washington University where he earned a B.A. degree in political science. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from American University Washington College of Law. He is currently employed by Cadwalader Wickersham and Taft, LLP in Washington, D.C. GORMAN-GLASSMAN: Deborah Anne Glassman, daughter of Judy and Rick Glassman of St. Louis, and Andrew Todd Gorman, son of Shirley and Alan Gorman of Chesterfield, have announced their engagement. She is the granddaughter of the late Renee and the late Bernard Levine of St. Louis and the late Doris Glassman and the late Samuel Glassman of St. Louis. He is the grandson of Charlotte and the late Rene C. Mayer of Chesterfield and Ruth and Harry Gorman of Union City, Tenn. The bride-to-be is a graduate of Parkway Central and Tisch School of the Arts at New York University where she earned a B.F.A. degree in theatre. She is currently attending Loyola University in Chicago for her M. Ed. degree in elementary education. Her fiance is a graduate of Parkway Central High School and the University of Texas at Austin where he earned a bachelor’s of business administration degree and a master’s in professional accounting with an emphasis in taxation. He is a certified public accountant. He also attended Loyola University Chicago School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctor degree. He is currently an attorney in the tax transactions practice at Mayer Brown LLP in Chicago. A January 2009 wedding is planned.

RUDINS CELEBRATE 60 YEARS: Arthur and Everlyn (Emert) Rudin of Town and Country celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 27, 2008. The couple first recited their vows on June 27, 1948 where Rabbi Halpern of B’nai Amoona officiated. It has been a true love affair ever since. They were married at the Chase Park Plaza and had the pleasure of reliving that day at their daughter’s and eldest granddaughter’s weddings at the Chase as well. They have two children, Barbara (Doron) Berger and Kerry Rudin, both of whom reside in St. Louis. They have been blessed with five beautiful grandchildren, Andrea (Steven) Rosenblum, Craig Berger, Brett (Alison Melnik) Berger, Jennifer Rudin and Erik Rudin. They have also been blessed with three wonderful great-grandchildren, Myles, Spencer and Henry Rosenblum. Mr. and Mrs. Rudin celebrated this occasion on their actual anniversary date with a dinner party with family.
