BECKER-SANDERS WEDDING
Jodi Lynn Becker, daughter of Dr. Martin and Barbara Becker, of Town and Country and Samuel Louis Sanders, son of the late Sterling and the late Lorraine Sanders of Chesterfield were married October 26, 2008 at Shaare Zedek Synagogue where Rabbi Mark Fasman officiated. A wedding reception followed the ceremony at Shaare Zedek. She is the granddaughter of the late Manuel and the late Jane Becker of St. Louis, and the late Henry and the late Mariam Kopperman of St. Louis.
He is the grandson of the late Paul and the late Sophie Sanders of St. Louis, and the late Samuel and the late Lillian Bierman of St. Louis. Cindy Houlle, the bride’s best friend, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Cindy Sudekum, friend of the bride and Denise Taylor, friend of the groom. Abby Brandon served as flower girl.
The groom chose Matthew Sanders, son of Samuel Sanders, as best man. Groomsmen were Michael Becker, brother of the bride and Gonzo Terry, friend of the groom. Ushers were Christopher Sudekum and Nick Brandon. The ring bearer was Zack Brandon. Following a wedding trip to Springfield and Branson, the couple resides in Chesterfield.
SHER-LEW WEDDING
Jennifer Brett Sher, daughter of Linda and Richard Sher of St. Louis and Jason Aaron Lew, son of Drs. Judel and Susan Lew of St. Louis and the late Judith P. Lew, were married April 4, 2009 at Meadowbrook Country Club, where Rabbi Brigette Rosenberg officiated. A wedding reception followed at Meadowbrook.
She is the granddaughter of the late Nanette Zellinger and Jerry Zellinger of St. Louis and the late Martha and the late Abbott Sher of Kansas City. The bride chose her sister, Amanda Sher, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jenna Lew-Feit, sister of the groom, Sara Frieberger, step-sister of the groom and Alison Garriga, friend of the bride. The groom is the grandson of the late Helen and the late Jules Gershon of Kansas City and the late Rywka and the late Israel Lew of Colchester, Conn. He chose his brother, Jeffrey Lew, as best man. Groomsmen were Corey Feit, brother-in-law of the groom and Bennie Peebles, friend of the groom.
Ushers were Taylor Cunningham, Kimberly and Phil Hahn, Shelley Jones and Stephanie and Neal Posdamer, all friends of the bride and groom. Following a wedding trip on a Caribbean cruise, the couple lives in O’Fallon.
KODNER B’NAI MITZVAH
Paul and Jordan Kodner, sons of Gail Brody and Rick Kodner, will become b’nai mitzvah on Aug. 1, 2009 at Brith Sholom Kneseth Israel Congregation. Paul and Jordan are grandsons of Sue and Marvin Kodner of St. Louis and June Mervis Brody and Lewis Brody of Highland Park, Ill. (both of blessed memory). The young men are entering the eighth grade at Solomon Schechter Day School.
