BRIMER-ELLIS WEDDING

Alysa Gail Brimer, daughter of Terrance and Joan Brimer of Chesterfield, Mo. and Chad Michael Ellis, son of Eugene and Karen Ellis of Chesterfield were married December 27, 2008 at the Ritz Carlton in St. Louis, where Rabbi Howard Kaplansky officiated. A wedding reception followed the ceremony at the Ritz Carlton, St. Louis. She is the granddaughter of the late Harry and Annette Weinberg and Ronald and Elaine Brimer. He is the grandson of the late Clarence and Maxine Coffman and the late Ben and the late Kareleene Ellis.

The bride chose Jennifer Brimer Sabin, the bride’s sister as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Ellis Forlizzi, sister of the groom, Preetha Balakrishnan, friend of the bride, friends Janice Cohen, Katie Cundiff, Mona Kulkarni, Sheri Lubniewski, Malia May and Lauren Stearns. Cousin of the bride, Stephanie Rubin and cousins of the groom, Sarah and Jessica Shyres, served as flower girls.

The groom chose Preston Amos, a friend of the groom, as best man. Groomsmen were friends Shane Bruner, Alex Ferrugia, Scott Gelb and Ryan Judy and brother-in-law of the groom, Jeff Forlizzi and brother-in-law of the bride, Brian Sabin. Ushers were David and Doug Berger, both cousin of the bride, and Eric and Ryan Zucker, both nephews of the groom. The ring bearer was Spencer Rubin, cousins of the bride. Following a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple resides in St. Louis.

COOPER-ELLIS WEDDING

Chad Cooper, son of William and Ava Cooper of St. Louis and Claire Ellis, daughter of Joseph and Barbara Ellis of New York City, were married on April 4 in New York City. The groom is the grandson of the late Joseph and Francis Greenberg of Rock Island, Ill. and the late Henry and Sarah Cooper of Omaha, Nebraska.

The bride is the granddaughter of the late Louis and Yetta Izenstein of Springfield, Mass., and Aline Taylor and the late Joseph Ellis of Watertown, NY. The groom is a graduate of Parkway North High School and Yale University where he earned a B.A. in Urban Studies. He also earned a Master’s in Business Administration at Stanford University.

He is currently a Director in the Real Estate Investment Banking Group at Deutsche Bank Securities in New York City. The bride is a graduate of The Brearley School in New York City and Yale University where she earned a B.A. in American Studies. She also earned a Masters in Business Administration at Stanford University. She is currently an independent product development consultant to the retail gift industry. They will celebrate their marriage with family and friends in New York City August 1, 2009. The couple resides in New York City.

Sugel-chervitz Engagement

Keri Lyn Sugel, daughter of Jill and Alan Sugel of West Palm Beach, FL and Darren Marc Chervitz, son of Zeta and Jerry Chervitz of St. Louis, have announced their engagement. She is the granddaughter of the late Millie and Bernie Braude and the late Sylvia and Harvey Sugel, all formerly of New York City. He is the grandson of the late Sylvia and Charles Chervitz and the late Evelyn and Ben Zlepper, all formerly of St. Louis. The bride-to-be is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a degree in economics and recently received her Master’s degree in early childhood education from New York University. She is currently employed at Ronin Capital in New York City. Her fiance is a graduate of Northwestern University with a double major in Journalism and Economics. He is currently the Research Director and Co-Manager of the Jacob Internet Fund. An October wedding is planned.
