Heather Abramson, daughter of Dr. Ernest and Ellen Abramson of Creve Coeur and Dr. Alan Zajarias, son of Dr. Alejandro and Miriam Zajarias of Mexico City, Mexico, have announced their engagement.

She is the granddaughter of Edwin and Cookie Epstein of Frontenac and Elaine and the late Leon Abramson of Boca Raton, Fla.

He is the grandson of Flora and the late Moises Rabchinskey and Natalia and the late Dr. Samuel Zajarias, all from Mexico City, Mexico.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Ladue Horton Watkins High School and Washington University, where she earned a master’s degree in Social Work. She is currently in pharmaceutical sales.

Her fianc é is a graduate of American School Foundation and Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, where he earned his M.D. degree. He is currently a physician at Washington University.

A September 2010 wedding is planned.

MAREK-ZEITLIN ENGAGEMENT

Angela Catherine Marek, daughter of Catherine and Donald J. Marek Jr. and granddaughter of Anne Broden, all of Chesterfield, and Nicholas David Zeitlin, son of Carol and Jim Zeitlin of Piedmont, Calif., have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be graduated from Parkway Central High School and Harvard University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in government. She is currently a staff writer at SmartMoney magazine.

Her fianc é graduated from Piedmont High School and Harvard, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics and economics. He is currently a principal at private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co (KKR). The couple resides in New York City.

A July 2010 wedding is planned in Los Gatos, California.

BRANDWEIN-LERNER

Sarin Brandwein, daughter of Barry Brandwein and Judi Goshen of Buffalo Grove, Ill. and Justin Lerner, son of Gary and Gwen Lerner of St. Louis, have announced their engagement.

She is the granddaughter of Edward and the late Phyllis Brandwein and the late Henry and the late Norma Goshen. He is the grandson of Leon and Thelma Pultman and the late Erwin and Frances Lerner.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Adlai E. Stevenson High School and Indiana University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in art education. She is currently teaching art and working towards a master’s degree in social work at Loyola University in Chicago.

Her fianc é is a graduate of Parkway Central and Indiana University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and international business. He is currently a partner in his real estate company, focusing on industrial real estate.

An April 2011 wedding is planned.

Melissa Evan Weissman, daughter of Geri and Scott Weissman of Chesterfield and Cory Scott Gale, son of Jamie and Willard Gale of Chesterfield have announced their engagement.

She is the granddaughter of Roberta and Sidney Weissman and the late Marilyn and Robert Green, Jr. He is the grandson of the late Sarah and Louis Gale and the late Helen and Charles Argent.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Parkway Central High School and Indiana University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in sports communication. She currently works for the St. Louis Blues Hockey Club.

Her fianc é is a graduate of Parkway Central and Indiana University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance real estate. He currently works for the Midland Development Group.

BRAVO-SCHWARTZ WEDDING

Molly Jean Bravo, daughter of Sheila Steinbock of Thornton, Colo. and Jerry Wilits of Fort Mill, S.C., and Aaron Elliott Schwartz, son of Dan and Joanne Schwartz of Creve Coeur were married Nov. 7, 2009 at Brith Sholom Kneseth Israel, where Rabbi Mordecai Miller officiated.

A wedding reception followed the ceremony at the St. Louis Art Museum.

She is the granddaughter of Betty Bravo of El Cajon, Calif. He is the grandson of Anna Lee and the late John E. Brown of St. Louis and Miriam and the late Albert M. Schwartz of Kansas City, Mo.

The couple resides in Kansas City, Mo.
