MARIAM-SHAINSKY

Kimberly Mariam, daughter of Lois and Rick Mariam of Wildwood, and Pavel Shainsky, son of Mila and Alex Shainsky of Escondido, Calif., have announced their engagement.

She is the granddaughter of Sylvia and the late Arthur Jaffe of St. Louis, and Phil and the late Francine Mariam of Chesterfield.

He is the grandson of Misha and Flora Shainsky of Encino, Calif., the late Lora Shainsky and Isaac and Rita Grichanik of North Hollywood, Calif.

The couple resides in San Diego, Calif., where an August, 2009 wedding is planned.

DAVIS-BRODY

Lauren Michelle Davis, daughter of Warren W. and Maralin A. Davis of Frontenac, and Bryan Ethan Brody, son of Steven R. and Nancy J. Brody of Creve Coeur, have announced their engagement.

She is the granddaughter of the late Joseph and Henrietta Adler and the late Abraham and Myra Davis. He is the grandson of Mrs. Muriel Brody, of Chesterfield, and the late Jerome Brody, the late Raymond and Octavia Nehmen. The bride-to-be is a graduate of Whitfield School and Indiana University where she earned a B.S. degree in Education and at Webster University where she earned her Masters of Arts in Teaching. She is currently a senior kindergarten teacher. Her fiance is a graduate of Parkway North High School and Washington University where he earned a B.A. degree in Earth and Planetary Science and his Juris Doctor degree from Tulane University. He is currently an attorney. A July, 2009 wedding is planned.

SOBEL-O’HARA

Erica Michelle Sobel, daughter of Gerald and Elaine Sobel of St. Louis, and Gene Howard O’Hara, son of Russell and Cathy Milby of Petersburg, Ill., have announced their engagement.

She is the granddaughter of the late Sol and Lorraine Katz of St. Louis.

He is the grandson of the late Ralph and Eleanor O’Hara of Petersburg, Ill.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Parkway North High School and the University of Missouri-Columbia where she earned a B.S. degree in Biology and minor in Chemistry. She is currently a Sr. Training Specialist. Her fiance is a graduate of Porta High School and Robert Morris College.

He is currently an IT Project Manager with Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

An April, 2009 wedding is planned.
