BRODY-THAW

Dana Simone Brody, daughter of Nina and Manuel Hernandez and Allen and Chere Brody, all of Los Angeles, and Jeffrey Andrew Thaw, son of Carole and Barry Thaw of St. Louis, have announced their engagement.

She is the granddaughter of Ann and the late Harry Brody and Olga and the late Chaim Reizin, all of Los Angeles.

He is the grandson of Pauline and the late Joseph Glaser and Betty and the late Philip Thaw, all of St. Louis.

The bride-to-be is a 1998 graduate of La Canada High School in Los Angeles, Calif., and a 2003 graduate of Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism.

She is Associate Vice-President at Grubb & Ellis Company in Los Angeles.

Her fiance is a 1999 graduate of Parkway West High School and a 2003 graduate of the University of Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in advertising. He is a Senior Account Executive at JC Decaux North America in Los Angeles.

A September, 2009 wedding is planned.

COHEN-STRICKLAND

Laurie Ann Cohen, daughter of Sanford and JoLinda Cohen of Town and Country, and Andrew Brian Strickland, son of Gary Strickland and Sara Nagy of St. Louis, have announced their engagement.

She is the granddaughter of the late Joe Cohen and the late Mollie Cohen, and the late Walter and the late Beverly Morris, all of St. Louis.

He is the grandson of the late Joseph Weiss and Mira Weiss, and the late Fenton and the late Ola Strickland, all of Buffalo, N.Y.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Parkway Central High School and Indiana University, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in exercise science.

She is currently employed at Sante Fitness and Wellness at the Chase Park Plaza as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor.

Her fiance is a graduate of Parkway North High School and Northern Arizona University, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in broadcast journalism.

He is currently a talk show host for AM1380 sports radio and a writer for hockeybuzz.com.
