ARONSON-BIERNBAUM
Dina Aronzon, daughter of Edward and Elvira Aronzon of Boston, Mass., and Lee Biernbaum, son of David and Lora Biernbaum of Chesterfield, Mo., have announced their engagement. She is the granddaughter of Nina Smagarinskaya and the late Simon Gorkhover, the late Liza and the late Eugene Aronzon of Samarkand, Uzbekistan. He is the grandson of the late Sid and Flossie Biernbaum of St. Louis, Mo., and the late Stan and Joyce Kalender of Las Vegas, Nev. The bride-to-be is a graduate of Swarthmore College where she earned a BA degree in chemical physics, and Harvard University where she earned an MS degree in applied physics. She is currently an environmental consultant at HMMH. Her fiance is a graduate of Parkway Central High School and the University of Missouri where he earned a BS degree in economics and an MA in economics. He also earned his MSc in political economy from the London School of Economics. He is currently an economist at the U.S. Department of Transportation. A June, 2009 wedding is planned.
GARBER-SCHAINKER
Leslie Garber, daughter of Patti and Bruce Garber of St. Louis, Mo., and Andrew Schainker, son of Dottie and Rick Schainker of St. Louis, Mo., have announced their engagement.
She is the granddaughter of Rae and the late Sandy Israel and the late Richard Garber, and Rose and the late Dan Siegel, all of St. Louis.
He is the grandson of Miriam and the late Lloyd Schainker, and Dorothy and the late Tom Wilson, all of St. Louis.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Parkway North High School and Indiana University-Bloomington where she earned a Bachelor degree in Elementary Education. She is currently teaching in the St. Louis Public School District.
Her fianc é is a graduate of Parkway North High School and the University of Illinois-Urbana where he earned a Bachelor degree in Industrial Design. He is currently working as director of new product development for the St. Louis based architectural lighting company, OCL.
A June 2009 wedding is planned.

Leslie J. Krell, daughter of Sherilyn and Barry Krell of Olivette, Mo., and Scott H. Kittredge, son of Cynthia and Chuck Kittredge of Longmeadow, Mass., have announced their engagement. She is the granddaughter of Irene Krell and the late Jules Krell of Boca Raton, Fl., and the late Eleanor Rubin Kean, Bernard Kean and Leonard Rubin, all of St. Louis, Mo. He is the grandson of the late Bertha and Max Kittredge and the late Alexandria and Dwight Shaw, all of Springfield, Mass. The bride-to-be is a graduate of The Westminster Schools, Atlanta, Ga., Syracuse University where she earned a B.A. in political science and the Pennsylvania State University where she earned an MBA. She is currently a marketing manager for the service division of Otis Elevator in Farmington, Ct. Her fiance is a graduate of Longmeadow High School, Longmeadow, Mass., and Syracuse University where he earned a Bachelor of Industrial Design. He is currently a Senior Graphic Designer at Hasbro Toys in Springfield, Mass., and an independent filmmaker. An April, 2009 wedding in St. Louis is planned.
