Lindsay Ross Hoffman, daughter of Robert and Susan Hoffman of Chesterfield, and Christopher Robert Perez, son of Robert and Janice Perez, of Ann Arbor, Mich. were married June 20, 2009 at Westwood Country Club, where Rabbi Howard Kaplansky officiated. A wedding reception followed the ceremony at the Westwood Country Club.

She is the granddaughter of Henry Ross, the late Shirly Ross and Gay Hirsch of St. Louis, and the late Oren Hoffman and Margie Hoffman Young of Cincinnati, Ohio.

He is the grandson of John and Maureen Levens of Ann Arbor, Mich.

The bride chose her sister, Maggie Hoffman, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Emily Berk, sister of the bride, Abigail Hoffman, sister of the bride and Nicole Perez, sister of the groom. Annabel Berk, niece of the bride and Kendall Handsma, niece of the groom served as flower girls. The groom chose his brother, Michael Perez, as best man. Groomsmen were Kobina Gyan, brother of the groom, Alex Landau and Chad Thomson, friends of the groom. Ushers were Ben Bouchard and Ray Wu, both friends of the groom. The couple resides in Chicago, Ill.

SITZER-EVANS ENGAGEMENT

Sarah Lizabeth Sitzer, daughter of Bill and Kathleen Sitzer of St. Louis, and Richard John Evans, son of Michael and Sybil Evans of Issaquah, Wash. have announced their engagement. She is the granddaughter of (Sam) and Dolly Sitzer of Scottsdale, Ariz. and (Harold) and Josephine Feldman of Frederick, Md. He is the grandson (Rosetta) and (Joseph) Hurst, of England and (Grace) and (Frank) Evans of England.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Clayton High School and Boston University and the University of Wisconsin, Madison where she earned a bachelor’s of music and master’s of music degree in music performance. She is currently a member of the New World Symphony in Miami, Fla.

Her fianc é is a graduate of Issaquah High School in Washington and the University of Washington and Boston University where he earned a bachelor’s of music degree and a master’s of music degree in music performance. He is currently a teacher of cello at the Music Academy of Rockford College.

A June, 2010 wedding is planned.

KATZ-COMESS ENGAGEMENT

Tracy Ilene Katz, daughter of Jeffrey and Karen Katz of Milwaukee, Wisc., and Jared Michael Comess, son of Dr. Mark and Gail Comess of Chesterfield have announced their engagement.

She is the granddaughter of the late Helen and Bernard Bernhardt and the late Goldie and Harry Katz.

He is the grandson of Ione Comess and the late Harold Comess and the late Ethel and Irving Bernstein.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Nicolet High School and the University of Maryland where she earned a bachelor’s degree in government politics. She attended the University of Maryland where she earned a law degree. She is currently a practicing attorney in Chicago.

Her fianc é is a graduate of Parkway Central High School and the University of Illinois -Champaign Urbana, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in media studies. He is currently enrolled in the master’s program of integrated marketing communications at Northwestern University.

A March, 2010 wedding is planned.

MOTCHAN-LAMBERT ENGAGEMENT

Katie Motchan, daughter of Dennis and Nancy Motchan of Chesterfield and Chris Lambert, son of Tim and Mary Lambert of Chicago, Ill. have announced their engagement.

She is the granddaughter of the late Blanche and the late Sam Shulman, and the late Radine and the late Harold Motchan and Ida Motchan, all of St. Louis.

He is the grandson of Anita and Vincent DeRose, Rosemarie Lambert and the late Robert Lambert all of Chicago, Ill.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Parkway Central and Rice University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Architecture. She is currently an architect.

Her fianc é is a graduate of Northwestern University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in English and the University of Illinois-Chicago where he earned a master’s degree in Urban Planning. He is currently a Marketing Manager.

A March, 2010 wedding is planned.

YELLIN/WEISSBERG WEDDING

Jaclyn Ashley Yellin, daughter of Addie and Douglas Yellin of Dix Hills, N.Y. and Joshua Levin Weissberg, son of Donna Levin Weissberg, formerly of St. Louis, and Michael Weissberg of Manhasset, N.Y. were married July 2, 2009 at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers, New York City.

The bride is the grandaughter of David and Barbara Lipman of New York City and Nettie Yellin of Delray Beach, Fla. and the late Saul Yellin of Long Island, N.Y.

The groom is the grandson of the late Harry and late Elsie Levin of St.Louis and the late Daniel and late Beatrice Weissberg of East Meadow, N.Y.

Jaclyn is a graduate of Binghamton University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English and Columbia University, where she earned a master’s degree in secondary education. She is currently teaching English at a middle school in Manhattan.

Joshua is also a graduate of Binghamton University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in history and philosophy and a master’s degree in education at Queens College. He is currently teaching middle school social studies in Manhattan.

The couple resides in New York City.
