STEINBERGER-LEVISON

Jamie Nicole Steinberger, daughter of Dr. Gary and Mary Steinberger of Orange Village, Ohio, and Henry Michael Levison, son of Marty and Marilyn Levison of Chesterfield, Mo., were married Aug. 31, 2008 at The Ritz-Carlton in Cleveland, where Cantor Sarah Sager officiated. A wedding reception followed the ceremony at The Ritz-Carlton in Cleveland. She is the granddaughter of Dolores Gallagher of Northfield Center, Ohio and the late Lillian and the late David Steinberger and the late Lawrence Gallagher. He is the grandson of Jules and Dorothy Levison and Barbara and Saul Mirowitz. The bride chose her sister, Susan Grossberg, as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Michelle Rosch, sister of the groom, April Levison, sister-in-law of the groom, and friends Anne Wolfenden, Cassidy Stark, Allison Schraier, Mara Blaustein, Gina Nirenberg and Lauren Shubert. Marisa Grossberg, niece of the bride, served as flower girl. The groom chose his brother, Matthew Levison, as best man. Groomsmen were Mike Rosch, brother-in-law of the groom, and friends Michael Podolsky, Jason Lourie, Craig Martin, Mike Beck, Kevin Rudin, Matthew Brodsky and David Sprowls. Ushers were Daniel Rosenberg, cousin of the groom and Michael Grossberg brother-in-law of the bride, and friends Darren Pearl and Jeremy Cohen. STEIN-YAMNITZ

Alissa Rachel Stein, daughter of Becki and Gary Stein of Chesterfield, Mo., and Ryan Edward Yamnitz, son of Brenda and Ron Yamnitz of Columbia, Mo., have announced their engagement. She is the granddaughter of Doris Carlson and the late Glenn Carlson of Avon Lake, Oh and David Stein and the late Phyllis Stein of Miami, Fla. He is the grandson of the late Anne and James Wortham of St. Louis, and Clela Yamnitz and the late Darrel Yamnitz of Columbia, Mo. The bride-to-be is a graduate of Parkway Central High School and the University of Missouri-Columbia where she earned a bachelor’s degree in nutritional science with an emphasis in medical dietetics. She is currently a consultant dietitian in Kansas City and surrounding areas and is pursuing her master’s degree in dietetics and nutrition at KU Medical Center. Her fiance is a graduate of Helias High School in Jefferson City, Mo. He received a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is currently a corporate maufacturing engineer at HP Pelzer, an automotive interior supplier, in Kansas City, Kan. A May, 2009 wedding is planned.

Pepper bat mitzvah

Carly Pepper, daughter of Gregg and Stacy Pepper became a bat mitzvah on Dec. 13, 2008 at Congregation Shaare Emeth.

Carly is the sister of Lauren Pepper, and granddaughter of Harlene Adler and Barb Cupples of St. Louis, Sandy Pepper of Tennessee and the late Bob Cupples, the late Sandy Adler and the late Burt Pepper. Carly is a student at Rockwood Valley Middle School and outside of school she enjoys water activities like tubing and water skiing; she also enjoys camping at Camp Sabra.
