STERNECK-KATZ WEDDING

Lisa Michelle Sterneck, daughter of Bob and Nancy Jo Sterneck of Chesterfield, and Peter Benjamin Katz, son of Arnold and Dr. Elena Katz of Northbrook, Ill. were married May 16, 2009 at Ballpark Hilton where Rabbi Howard Kaplansky officiated.

A wedding reception followed the ceremony at the Ballpark Hilton.

She is the granddaughter of the late Abe and the late Gloria Goldstein and the late Ed and Ruth Sterneck.

He is the grandson of Irene and Alex Frankel and the late Lev and Ella Kats.

The bride chose her sister, Stacy Kress as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Michelle Rosch, Ashley Spaseep, Jamie Whitney, Jenna Ochstein and Karen Schetz, all friends of the bride and groom.

The groom chose his brother, Alan Katz as best man. Groomsmen were Matt Price, Oleg Basov, Kirk Weil, Joey Klenofsky, all friends of the bride and groom and David Kress, brother-in-law to the bride and groom. Ushers were Brian Feit, cousin of the bride, and Corey Weinhaus and Seth Novick, friends of the bride and groom. Following a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple resides in Chicago, Ill.

CHOD-TANEY WEDDING

Bradley Joseph Chod, son of Gail and Paul Chod of Potomac, Md. and Lauren Stephanie Taney, daughter of Amy and Barry Taney of Boca Raton, Fla. were married April 4, 2009 at St. Andrews Country Club in Boca Raton, Fla., where Cantor Ann Turnoff officiated. The groom is the grandson of Rosalie and Leonard Chod of Creve Coeur and Marianne Minkoff Lerner and Howard Lerner of Boca Raton, Fla. The bride is the granddaughter of Cherie and the late Joseph Feigenbaum of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and Ruth and the late Irving Brazen of Boca Raton, Fla. The groom received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan Business School and a master’s degree in real estate development from Columbia University. He is a real estate developer at Minkoff Development Corporation in Germantown, Md.

The bride received her bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and a medical degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla. She will be an ophthalmology resident at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. The couple resides in Chevy Chase, Md.
