Evelyn and Sidney Goldfarb recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary at Meadowbrook Country Club with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Padawer-Garfield
Heidi Shara Padawer, daughter of Jerry and Patty Padawer of St. Louis, and Max Garfield, son of Jeff and Betsy Garfield of Clearwater, Fla., have announced their engagement.
She is the granddaughter of Gideon and Geraldine Schiller of St. Louis and the late Lawrence and the late Doris Padawer of Memphis, Tenn.
He is the grandson of the late Russell and Rhea Garfield of Largo, Fla., and the late Nathan and the late Echo Goldman of Chicago.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Horton Watkins High School in Ladue and Syracuse University and Washington University Law School. She is currently an attorney in New York City at Sidley Austin LLC. Her fianc é is a graduate of Adlai E. Stevenson High School, Brown University and Columbia Law School. He is currently a lawyer in New York City at Schulte Roth and Zabel.
A November wedding is planned.
Reby-Bertman
Anna Claire Reby, daughter of Jake and Leslie Reby of Clayton, and Robert Eric Bertman, son of Dr. Stanley and Karen Bertman of Canton, Ohio, have announced their engagement.
She is the granddaughter of the late Dr. Jacob Reby and Dr. Adele Reby of St. Louis and the late Mr. and the late Mrs. Lewis Newman of Evansville, Ind.
He is the grandson of the late Chiam and the late Goldie Bertman of Mt. Vernon, N.Y., and the late Joseph Stern and Evelyn Stern of Brookline, Mass.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Clayton High School and the University of Michigan, where she earned a B.A. degree in organizational studies — economics. She is currently an actress in musical theater in New York.
Her fianc é is a graduate of Glenoak High School in Canton, Ohio, and the University of Michigan, where he earned a B.A. degree in organizational studies — math. He is currently vice president-research analyst at CFA Eidelman Capital Management, St. Louis.
A May 2007 wedding is planned.
