Julie Daniel, daughter of Robert and Sherri Daniel of Chesterfield, and Zachary Leeds, son of Steven and Beth Leeds of Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y., have announced their engagement.

She is the granddaughter of Arnold and Rosalyn Libanoff of St. Louis and the late Abe and the late Fannie Daniel of St. Louis. He is the grandson of Milton and Helen Leeds of Highland Park, Ill., and Stanley and Barbara Malashock of Palm Springs, Calif.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Parkway Central High School and Indiana University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business. She is currently a marketing research analyst at Nestle Purina and attending graduate school. Her fianc é is a graduate of Cold Spring Harbor High School and Indiana University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business. He is currently an accountant at Rubin Brown LLP. A June 2007 wedding is planned.

Mateo-Cohen

Janice Mateo, daughter of Gigi and Jason Mateo of Overland Park, Kan., and Brian Cohen, son of Judy and Sheldon Cohen of Ladue, have announced their engagement. The bride-to-be is a graduate of Shawnee Mission West High School and attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City Medical School. She is presently in a physiatry residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

Her fianc é is a graduate of Ladue Horton Watkins High School and attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City Medical School. He is in an anesthesiology residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

A June 2007 wedding is planned.

Daniel-Lourie

Marci Ellen Daniel, daughter of Sherri and Robert Daniel of Chesterfield, and Edward Michael Lourie, son of Ellen and Stephen Lourie of Chesterfield, were married July 2, 2006, at Congregation B’nai Amoona where Rabbis Carnie Rose and Jeffrey Stiffman officiated. A wedding reception followed the ceremony at the Marriott West. She is the granddaughter of Rosalyn and Arnold Libanoff and the late Fannie and the late Abe Daniel. He is the grandson of Ruth Satz and the late Edward Satz and Ruth and the late Henry Lourie of Las Vegas, Nev.

Julie Daniel, the sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Leslie Goldman; Marni Hirschfield; Lesley Hoffman; Melissa Libanoff, cousin of the bride; Samantha Pearline; Jennifer Present-Hoffman; Katie Schweizer; and Dana Traub.

Brooke Kraizer, cousin of the bride, served as flower girl.

The groom chose David and Jason Lourie, brothers of the groom, as best men. Groomsmen were Kevin Daniel, brother of the bride; Michael Lourie, cousin of the groom; David Bender; Joel Jeffe; Mike Rosch; Paul Podolsky; Daniel Freyman and Doug Robinson. Ushers were Zachary Leeds, future brother-in-law; Brad Holtzman; Ryan Panitz and Jeff Yanover.

The ring bearer was Joshua Mannis, cousin of the groom. Following a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple resides in Brentwood.
