Stephanie Lyn Pollock, daughter of daughter of Fran and Jeffry Pollock of Chesterfield, and Christopher Allen Virgin, son of Cheryl and Bob Virgin of Bradley, Ill., have announced their engagement.

She is the granddaughter of Doris and the late Herman Stern of Creve Coeur, and the late Shirley Trockman Pollock and the late Paul Pollock of St. Louis.

He is the grandson of the late Arlene and the late Andrew Doris and Mary Ann Doris and the late Edward and the late Rita Virgin.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Parkway Central High School and Bradley University where she earned a B.S. degree in elementary education and UMSL where she earned a Masters degree in elementary education. She is currently a reading specialist in the University City School District. Her fiance is a graduate of Bradley Bourbonnais High School and Bradley University where he earned a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering and the University of Florida where he earned a Masters degree in mechanical engineering. He is currently an engineer with Boeing.

A September wedding is planned.
