LAZARUS-SARVER

Bat Sheva Naomi Lazarus, daughter of Eva and Ted Lazarus of Litchfield, Conn., and New York, N.Y., and Michael Louis Sarver, son of Shelley and Jay Sarver of St. Louis, and Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., have announced their engagement. She is the granddaughter of The late Shirley Lazarus and the Late Lester Lazarus of Montreal, Canada and Lenke Schwartz and the late Israel Schwartz of Toronto, Canada. He is the grandson of Ruth Sarver and the late Max Sarver and Audrey and Harvey Gershenson all of St. Louis. The bride-to-be is a graduate of Yeshiva of Flatbush High School and Brown University where she earned a B.A. degree in art history. She is currently supervisor of programming at Showtime Networks. Her fiance is a graduate of Mary Institute St. Louis-Country Day School and Brown University where he earned a B.A. degree in math and economics. He is currently fixed income strategist for Morgan Stanley London.

A September wedding is planned.

UNDERWOOD-PASS

Carol J. Underwood, daughter of Marlene and Robert Underwood of Mascoutah, Ill., and Richard E. Pass, son of Jeffrey and Judy Pass of Creve Coeur, have announced their engagement. She is the granddaughter of the late Henry and the late Josphine Thelsman. He is the grandson of Roberta and the late David Hayman and the late “Layle” and the late Isadore Pass. The bride-to-be is a graduate of Mascoutah Community High School. She works in accounting at Hospital Sisters Health System in Springfield, Ill. Her fiance is a graduate of Logos High School and is attending Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, Ill., where he is earning an associates degree in special education.

He is currently employed at Schnucks Market. An October wedding is planned.
