Wannemacher-Kassander

Beth Ann Wannemacher, daughter of Barbara and Bruce Wannemacher of the Republic of South Africa and Aaron William Kassander, son of Jill and David Kassander of Creve Coeur, were married May 24, 2009 at the St. Louis Marriott West where Rabbi Daniel Plotkin officiated.

A wedding reception followed the ceremony followed the ceremony at the St. Louis Marriott West. She is the granddaughter of Lazetta and the late Lowell Mapes and Rita and the late Rudolph Wannemacher. He is the grandson of Shirley and the late Ben Behr, the late Leo Frank, and the late Kaye and John Kassander.

The bride chose Amy Kassander as maid of honor. The groom chose Alex Kassander and Josh Wannemacher as best men. The couple resides in Maryland Heights.

Abrams-Cohen

Anna Rachel Abrams, daughter of Rena and Todd Abrams of Town & Country, and Dr. Joshua Scott Cohen, son of Andrea and David Cohen of Phoenix, Ariz., were married May 24 at Westwood Country Club, where Rabbi Joseph Rosenbloom officiated. A wedding reception followed at the club.

She is the granddaughter of Rochonne and the late Harold J. Abrams of St. Louis and Rachel and the late Ruben Benrubi of Indianapolis, Ind. He is the grandson of Millie and the late Adriel Cohen of Delray Beach, Fla., and Irene and the late Paul Sugerman of Phoenix, Ariz.

The bride chose her sister Ellie Abrams and friend Julia Reidel as maids of honor, and the groom chose his brothers, Benjamin and Daniel Cohen, as best men.

SPINK-TEASON

Camille Nicole Spink, daughter of John and Dawn Spink of Florissant, and Sean Andrew Kane, son of Ron and Robyn Kane of Chesterfield and Larry and Michelle Teason of St. Louis, were married June 6 on the beach in Panama City, Fla., where Mr. Jerry Weaver officiated. A wedding reception followed the ceremony at the Barefoot Beach Club.

She is the granddaughter of the late Peggy and John Spink and the late Sharon Riehl. He is the grandson of Dolores Mariam and the late Albert Mariam and the late Helen and Stan Kanofsky and the late Norma and Bill Teason.

The bride chose her sister, Kara Spink as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Laura Berry and Candice Bland, both friends of the bride.

The groom chose his brother, Todd Kane, as best man. Brad Spink, brother of the bride served as groomsman. Following a wedding trip to Panama City, Fla., the couple resides in St. Louis.

Twins turn 90

Sisters Pearl Eisenberg and Katye Blumenfeld (formerly known as the “Goldberg Twins”) recently celebrated their 90th birthday at a family brunch. The twins are sisters of the late Israel Goldberg. Pearl, a member of Congregation B’nai Amoona, is a past president of the Emma Lazarus Hadassah chapter and continues to volunteer with the Jewish Community Center. Katye is a member of Shaare Zedek Synagogue and continues to be active in the Jewish community.
