Renata Vesela, daughter of Jaromir and Jana Veseli of Brno, Czech Republic, and Jay Scott Broddon, son of Alan and Suzanne Broddon of Clayton, have announced their engagement.

She is the granddaughter of Alois and Frantiska Hrdickovi.

He is the grandson of the late Jacob and Mercedes Broddon and the late Dave and Bea Goldstein of St. Louis.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Nottingham Trent University in Brno, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business and finance. She is currently the Texas State Brand Manager for International Spirits in Houston.

Her fiancé is a graduate of Clayton High School and Webster University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is currently co-owner and managing partner of United Wine and Spirits in Houston.

A July, 2011 wedding is planned.
