Rachel Renee Tombes of New York, N.Y., daughter of Tom and Carmela Tombes of Richmond, Va. and Jeremy Ethan Davis of New York, son of Neil and Lauren Davis of St. Louis, have announced their engagement.

She is the granddaughter of Averett Tombes and the late Jane Tombes and Joan Liscio and the late Hanry Liscio, all of Richmond, Va. He is the grandson of the late Pearl and the late Gilbert Dulsky and the late Florence and the late Sol Davis.

The bride-to-be earned her bachelor of arts degree in communication studies from James Madison University. She is currently a graduate student pursuing a master’s in education at Hunter College in New York City. Her fiancé earned his bachelor of fine arts degree in industrial and product design from Rhode Island School of Design. He is currently design director for Croscill Home.

The couple met while working at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia in New York City. An August, 2013 wedding is planned.
