Kimberly Alison Taron, daughter of Alexander and Laura Taron of Montecito, Calif., and Andrew Steven Kootman, son of Debbie and Michael Kootman of Town and Country, Mo., have announced their engagement.

She is the granddaughter of Evelyn Hoeller of Burbank, Calif., the late Robert Hoeller of St. Helena, Calif., the late Adrian and the late Barbara Taron of Santa Barbara, Calif.

He is the grandson of Florence Kootman and the late Philip Kootman of Chesterfield, the late Beverly Rosen of St. Louis, and Harold and Joyce Rosen of Clayton, Mo.

The bride-to-be is a 2006 graduate of Santa Barbara High School and a 2010 graduate of the University of Colorado-Boulder, Colo. She is currently pursuing a teaching credential at California State University San Marcos, San Diego. Her fiancé is a 2003 graduate of Whitfield School and a 2008 graduate of the Leeds School of Business from the University of Colorado-Boulder. He is currently a Certified Public Accountant at CEA, LLP in Carlsbad, Calif.

A July, 2013 wedding is planned.
