Amanda Susan Martin Sudduth, daughter of Mary Martin and Ken Sudduth of Columbia, Mo., and Jacob David Cann, son of Cheryle and Lindsay Cann of St. Louis, have announced their engagement. 

Amanda is the granddaughter of the late Gordon and Virginia Sudduth and Ruth and the late Arthur Martin, all of Columbia. Jacob is the grandson of the late Senta and Henry Cann and the late Dorothy and Sidney Jacobson, all of St. Louis.

The bride-to-be received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri and a Master of Science degree from the University of Washington. She is currently a researcher in the Department of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine at the University of Washington. 

Her fiancé received his Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri and is currently a copywriter with Weber Marketing Group.

A May 2018 wedding is planned.
