Alissa Rachel Stein, daughter of Becki and Gary Stein of Chesterfield, Mo., and Ryan Edward Yamnitz, son of Brenda and Ron Yamnitz of Columbia, Mo., were married May 23, 2009 at Meadowbrook Country Club, where Rabbi Joshua Taub and Reverend Timothy Vowels officiated. A wedding reception followed the ceremony at the Meadowbrook Country Club. 

She is the granddaughter of David Stein and the late Phyllis Stein of Pembroke Pines, Fla. and Doris Carlson and the late Glenn Carlson of Avon Lake, Ohio.

He is the grandson of Clela Yamnitz and the late Darrel Yamnitz, and the Anna Wortham and the late James Wortham.

The bride chose her friend Robin Gammon as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Sonya Yamnitz, sister of the groom, Kara Shinn-Stein, sister-in-law of the bride, and Shelley Yamnitz, sister-in-law of the groom. Raisa Stein, cousin of the bride, served as flower girl.

The groom chose his friend Bridge Shah as best man. Groomsmen were Kyle Yamnitz, brother of the groom, Adam Stein, brother of the bride and Shane Yamnitz, cousin of the groom. Ushers were Greg Mallonee and Glen Decker, both friends of the groom. The ring bearer was Conner Yamnitz, nephew of the groom.

Following a wedding trip to Kauai, Hawaii, the couple resides in Kansas City, Kansas.
