Emily Beth Singer, daughter of Merle and Dale Singer of St. Louis County, and Stewart Mandel, son of Karen Mandel and the late Philip Mandel of Cincinnati, Ohio were married May 29, 2011 at the Japanese Garden of Missouri Botanical Garden, where Rabbi Jim Bennett of Congregation Shaare Emeth officiated. A wedding reception followed the ceremony at Monsanto Hall at the Missouri Botanical Garden.

She is the granddaughter of Nathan Silverman and the late Thelma Silverman, the late Philip and Alicia Singer, all of St. Louis.

He is the grandson of the late Samuel and Pauline Datz of Boston, Mass. and the late Ralph and Gertrude Mandel of Long Island, N.Y.

The bride chose her sister, Jill Singer, as her matron of honor. The groom chose his brother, Jamie Mandel, as best man.

Following a wedding trip to France and Spain, the couple resides in Brooklyn, N.Y.
