Singer-Feinstein Engagement

Elana Rachel Singer, daughter of Pamela Singer and Dr. Marc Singer, both of St. Louis County, and Raphael (Raffi) Samson Feinstein, son of Rabbi Nina Bieber Feinstein and Rabbi Edward Feinstein, of Encino, Calif., are very excited to announce their engagement.

Elana is a graduate of Solomon Schechter Day School and Parkway Central High School, where she was active in theater and show choir. Raffi is a graduate of Valley Beth Shalom Day School and Milken Community High School, where he participated in track and cross-country, and was the drummer in a band (“Five Hungry Jews”).

Both are graduates of Indiana University: Raffi earned a 2012 bachelor of science in informatics, and Elana graduated in 2013 with a bachelor of science in secondary language arts education. After traveling as a consultant based in Chicago for two years, Raffi is now working on a graduate degree and teaching at Indiana University, while Elana is teaching in an Indiana middle school. Elana and Raffi met through friends at Indiana University Hillel, and became engaged in California shortly before Pesach, when Raffi proposed as they overlooked the ocean from a friend’s beach house.

The couple is excited to end 2015 in front of the ocean again, with their December wedding in Pacific Palisades.
