Julie Marie Schwartz, daughter of Shelley and Bruce Edwards of Chesterfield and Bob and Linda Schwartz of Leesburg, Ind., and Fredric Rosenberg, son of Dr. Seligman and Phyllis Rosenberg of New York, have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Purdue University where she earned her B.S. in math/business and also is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University where she earned her A.A.S. in Culinary Arts. She is currently manager of Bouchon Bakery in New York City.

Her fiance is a graduate of MIT where he earned his B.S. degree in economics. He is currently director at Deutsch Bank in New York City.
