Jessica Faith Schneider, daughter of Stuart and Debbie Schneider of Chesterfield, and Mitchel Saul Schwartzman, son of Rolando Schwartzman of Jacksonville, Fla., and Andrea Barnes of St. Louis, have announced their engagement.  

Jessica is the granddaughter of Leo and Ethel Newman and Harriet and Harold Schneider, all of St. Louis.  

Mitchel is the grandson of the late Linda Barnes and Gary Barnes and Helen Barnes and the late Valeria Sara Urbanksi de Schwartzman and the late Saul Schwartzman.  

The bride-to-be earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Missouri-Columbia and her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Missouri-Columbia.  She is currently employed as a kindergarten teacher in the Parkway School District and recently published a children’s book.  

The groom-to-be earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Lindenwood University and earned two master’s degrees in human performance and teaching from Lindenwood. He is a strength and conditioning coach for the Lindenwood University Lions.  

An October 2016 wedding is planned.
