Stacy Alyse Saltzman, daughter of Penny and Michael Saltzman of Chesterfield, and Benjamin Shachar Swislow, son of Binnie and Mark Swislow of Highland Park, Ill., have announced their engagement. 

She is the granddaughter of Selma and the late William Saltzman of University City, and the late Jean and David Miller of Miami Beach, Fla.

He is the grandson of Jean Katz and the late Milton Katz of Milwaukee, Wisc., and Shirley and the late Morris Swislow of Chicago, Ill.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Parkway Central High School and Indiana University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications. She is currently the owner and event planner of So Stacy in Chicago.

Her fiancé is a graduate of Deerfield High School and Bradley University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He is currently owner of Diamond Event Group, an event production company in Chicago. 

A December 2014 wedding is planned.
