Beth Elyse Raskin, daughter of Carol and Victor J. Raskin of New York City, and Daniel Seth Demba, son of Marsha and Ernest A. Demba of Ballwin, have announced their engagement.

She is the granddaughter of the late Grace and the late John Bishop of Union, N.J. and the late Phyllis and the late George Raskin of Carnegie, Pa.

He is the grandson of Fern Rosenberg and the late Hyman P. Rosenberg of Ballwin, and the late Irma Demba and the late Eugene J. Demba of Ballwin.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Smith College, where she received her A.B. degree and Wharton Business School where she received her M.B.A. She is currently employed in private equity for Hines.

Her fiancé is a graduate of Washington University, where he received his B.S. degree, and Seton Hall School of Law, where he received his J.D. He is currently an attorney in New York City.

A September, 2011 wedding is planned.
