Melanie Mirowitz and Scott Soltz have announced their engagement. Melanie is the daughter of Scott Mirowitz of Chicago, Illinois, and Jacqueline and Jeffery Herzog of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Scott is the son of Marcia & Edwin Soltz of Overland Park, Kansas.

 The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Helene and the late Carl Mirowitz of St. Louis, Carol and the late Herb Sherman of West Palm Beach, Florida, and Richard and Phyllis Finger of Hollywood, Florida.  Her fiancé is the grandson of Golda and the late Ernest Mayer of Leawood, Kansas, and the late Frank and Leona Soltz of Kansas City, Missouri.

The bride-to-be attended Fox Chapel Area High School in Pittsburgh and American University in Washington, D.C. She is currently a Digital Marketing Campaign Specialist at DEG in Overland Park. 

Her fiance attended Blue Valley North High School in Overland Park and Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. He is currently a Proposal Manager at SPX in Overland Park.  They met at a bat mitzvah in Kansas City. An October, 2015 wedding is planned.
