Lauren Michelle Mielziner, daughter of Gail and Robert Mielziner, Jr. of St. Louis, and Dr. David Nathan Bubis, son of Janet Charles Bubis of Dallas, Texas and Barry Bubis of Austin, Texas have announced their engagement. 

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Lorraine and the late Harry Robin, and the late Sara and the late Robert Mielziner all of St. Louis. The groom is the grandson of Idella and the late Aaron Charles of San Antonio, Texas, and Barbara and Ralph Bubis of Dallas. 

The bride-to-be graduated from Parkway Central in 2004, and graduated in 2008 from University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she earned degrees in political science and Jewish studies. She is currently the Community Engagement Associate at Jewish Federation of Nashville and Middle Tennessee. 

Her fiancé graduated from Plano West High School in 2002 and graduated in 2006 from the University of Texas-Austin, where he earned a degree in psychology. He graduated from medical school at Ross University and his residency at the University of Texas-Houston in Family and Community Medicine. He is currently the Sports Medicine Fellow at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tenn. The couple met in 2009 in Chicago, Ill. while the bride was working at Temple Sholom of Chicago and the groom was completing his medical rotations.

A May, 2015 wedding is planned.
