Medintz-Elias Engagement

Jacqueline Medintz, daughter of Jeffrey and Daniela Medintz of Chesterfield, and David Scott Elias, son of Neil and Judy Elias of Creve Coeur, have announced their engagement. Daniela is originally from Quito, Ecuador and Jeffrey is originally from Atlanta, Ga. 

She is the is the great-granddaughter of Edith Neuman and granddaughter of Dr. George Maier and Brigitta Neuman Maier of Quito and the late Coleman and Myra Medintz of Atlanta. He is the grandson of Anita Goodman Sievers, married to E. Ray Sievers, and the late Stanley Goodman as well as the grandson of Joseph Elias and the late Leatrice Elias of St. Louis.

The bride-to-be has a bachelor’s of science in nursing from The University of Texas Health Science Center of San Antonio, as well as a bachelor’s degree in psychology from The University of Texas in San Antonio. She works as an oncology nurse at St. Luke’s Hospital, and plans to complete her master’s of science in nursing from Maryville University with emphasis in family nurse practitioning in May 2015.  

Her fiancé has a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in Jewish Studies from Miami University of Oxford, Ohio, and recently completed his master of business administration degree from Lindenwood University, with plans to complete his master’s degree in accounting in May 2015. David works as an accountant for Integrated Financial Solutions in St. Louis. 

Both are active leaders in the Jewish community: David co-founded Next Dor STL, and both David and Jacqueline are residents of Moishe House St. Louis, where they plan and conduct events for the young adult Jewish community—coincidently where they both met more than four years ago.

A September, 2015 wedding is planned.
