Marian Wiener and Maurice L. (Bud) Hirsch Jr. were married on Aug. 27, 1961 at the Sheraton Hotel in Philadelphia. They were married by the Director and Associate Director of NFTY, Sam Cook and Joe Goldman. Maurice had just finished his term as president of NFTY when they were married. 

Marian is the daughter of the late Harry and Sylvia Wiener, and Maurice is the son of the late Maurice and Barbara Hirsch. 

Marian is a life member of the National Council of Jewish Women. The couple has three children, Robin Hirsch-Steinhoff (Mark Steinhoff), Jeff Hirsch (Donna Parrone), and Tracy (Andy) Speller, and two grandchildren, Jake and Anna Speller.

On Aug. 27, 2021, the family held a small party to celebrate the couple’s milestone.
