Tzivia Levin, of San Diego, Calif. and Melbourne, Australia, daughter of Leah Fetter of Melbourne and Barry Levin of San Diego, and Brett Alan Kalmes of St. Louis, son of Marcy Cohen Kalmes and the late Elliot Kalmes, have announced their engagement.

She is the granddaughter of Larry and Sue Miller of San Diego and the late Alex and Shirley Levin of San Diego.

He is the grandson of the late Meyer and Beverly Cohen of St. Louis and the late Phillip and Blanche Kalmes.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of the American Jewish University where she received her bachelor’s degree in business and her M.B.A. She is currently employed at the Jewish Community of Louisville, Ken. where she is the Young Adult Campaign and Hillel Director, and also a Hebrew School teacher at Congregation Adath Israel Brith Sholom in Louisville.

Her fiancé graduated Ladue Horton Watkins High School, and received a degree in economics and an M.B.A. from Bellarmine University in Louisville, as well as a master’s in teaching at Spalding University in Louisville. He is currently a teacher at Jefferson County Public Schools of Louisville and is a coach at Louisville Collegiate.

A January, 2012 wedding is planned.
