Megan Lane, daughter of Bradley and Terri Lane of Western Springs, Ill., and Aaron Harper, son of Suzan and James Harper of Clayton, have announced their engagement. 

Megan is the granddaughter of Darlene Almon of Bonita Springs, Fla., Emmett and Pat Egan of Oak Lawn, Ill., and Glenn and Carolyn Lane of Bridgman, Mich. Aaron is the grandson of the late Adelaide Katz, Louis Katz, Evelyn and Bill Harper.

The bride-to-be received bachelor’s degrees in biology, and women and gender studies from Washington University. In May she will graduate from the University of Michigan Medical School.

Her fiancé received a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Missouri. He is currently a process engineer at U.S. Steel in Detroit.

A May wedding is planned.
