Maxine Lynn Lachman, daughter of Rita and the late Howard Frank Lachman of St. Louis, and Shawn Michael Berens, son of Michael and Marie Berens of O’Fallon, Ill. were married Oct. 24, 2010 at the Four Points Hotel in Fairview Heights, Ill. where Cantor Murray W. Hochberg of United Hebrew Congregation officiated. A wedding reception followed the ceremony at the Four Points Hotel.

She is the granddaughter of Anne Edith Baum and the late Irvin Meer Baum, the late Frances Frieda Bly and the late Ed Bly, the late Max and Evelyn Lachman.

He is the grandson of Mary and the late Arthur Berens and Fern and Thomas Mitchell. Great-grandparents are the late Rose and Sam Balk, the late Harry and Anna Levin and Tom Mitchell.

The bride was walked down the aisle by her uncle, Raymond Anthony Baum. The bride chose Betty Boswell as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Danielle Dyer, Kristina Click, Becky Klocke and Alex Palacious.

The groom chose Theimo Tornan as his best man. Groomsmen were Eric Muehfeld, Steve Carthy, Billy Gain and Mitch Berens. Ushers were Crystal Raglin, Curtis Brazel, Jessie Brazel and Vinnie Hays. Lynore Elizabeth Tornan served as flower girl and Noah Mitchell served as ring bearer.

Following a honeymoon traveling through Illinois and Indiana, the couple resides in St. Louis.
