Matthew Kramer, son of Dr. Robert and Judy Kramer of St. Louis, and Emily Arenson, daughter of Steve and Diane Arenson of Minneapolis, are pleased to announce their engagement. 

The groom-to-be, grandson of Dr. Phil and Bonnie Levens and Selma and the late Irving Kramer, is a graduate of MICDS and received his bachelor’s degree in biology at Harvard College.  After playing professional baseball for five years, he is in his first year of medical school at Rush Medical College in Chicago.

The bride-to-be, granddaughter of Harold Arenson and Sylvia Knazan, is a graduate of Edina High School and received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Minnesota and her master’s degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin. She is currently employed as a licensed clinical social worker in the Wellness Center at Loyola University in Chicago. 

The couple met when they were living in Boston. 

A July 2014 wedding is planned in Minneapolis.
