Rachel Sarah Kaufman of Eden Prairie, Minn., daughter of Judy and Steve Kaufman of Chesterfield, and Steven Marc Appel, of Eden Prairie, son of Dan and Annie Appel of Fort Wayne, Ind. have announced their engagement. She is the granddaughter of the late Carl and the late Betty Jane Schneider, the late Larry and the late Lena Kaufman and Michelle Kaufman of St. Louis. The bride-to-be is a graduate of the University of Missouri. She is currently a senior analyst at Kellogg’s. Her fiancé is a graduate of Indiana University. He is currently senior project manager at Target. 

A July, 2013 wedding is planned.
