Cara Lynn Katzen, daughter of Cora Katzen and Carl Katzen, and step-daughter of Rose Marie Katzen of St. Louis, and Howard Arlan Shalowitz, son of Aileen Shalowitz and the late Dr. Mervin Shalowitz of Winnetka, Ill. were married on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at The 560 Music Center in University City, where Rabbi Hershey Novack and Hazzan Simon Spiro officiated. A wedding reception followed the ceremony in the Grand Ballroom at The 560 Music Center.

She is the granddaughter of the late Reuben and Dorothy Katzen and the late Ethan and Francis French of St. Louis.

He is the grandson of the late Isadore and Sylvia Shalowitz and the late Charles and Hannah Goldstein of Chicago.

The bride chose her sister Alison Howard as matron of honor.

The groom chose his brother Steven Shalowitz as best man. They were honored to have friends and family from around the world at their wedding.

A wedding trip to Israel is planned. The couple now resides in Creve Coeur.
