Cara Lynn Katzen, daughter of Cora Katzen and Carl Katzen, and step-daughter of Rose Marie Katzen, of St. Louis and Howard Arlan Shalowitz, son of Aileen Shalowitz and the late Dr. Mervin Shalowitz of Winnetka, Ill. have announced their engagement. 

The bride-to-be is a graduate of University of Missouri – St. Louis, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications. She is a territory manager for Ranbaxy Pharmaceuticals’ dermatology division.

Her fiancé is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science, and a graduate of Washington University School of Law, where he earned a Juris Doctor degree. He is an attorney in private practice and an ordained cantor.

A June wedding is planned.
