Jamie Kaplan, daughter of Ellen and Thomas Kaplan of Deerfield, Ill., and Greg Davenport, son of Jane and Michael Davenport of Affton, Mo., have announced their engagement. She is the granddaughter of Lois and Edwin Goldfein and Elaine Kaplan of Chicago and Highland Park, Ill. He is the grandson of Jeanette and Norbert Zimmermann and Joan Beck of St. Louis. The bride-to-be is a 2012 graduate of the master’s program in Occupational Therapy at Washington University. Her fiancé is working as a program coordinator at St. Louis University and pursuing a master’s degree in non-profit management at Fontbonne University. They met in October  2010 during a volunteer project at TASK (Team Activities for Special Kids). The proposal took place during a surprise trip to Mackinac Island, Michigan in June 2012. A November, 2013 wedding is planned in Libertyville, Ill. The couple currently resides in Webster Groves with their beloved chocolate lab rescue, Crash.
