KAISER-MIROWITZ ENGAGEMENT

Hannah Kaiser, daughter of Joni and Bob Kaiser of Olivette, and Lee Mirowitz, son of Maxine and Steven (Dever) Mirowitz of Village of Westwood, have announced their engagement. 

She is the granddaughter of Carolyn Koppel of St. Louis, Sylvia and Martin Mintzer of Houston, and Eleanor and Lionel Kaiser of Chesterfield. He is the grandson of the late Joan Sontag of St. Louis, and Judy and the late Donald Sontag of Boca Raton, Fla. and Helene and the late Carl Mirowitz of Creve Coeur. 

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Ladue Horton Watkins High School and is studying special education at the University of Maryland in College Park. Her fiancé is a graduate of Parkway Central High School and will be earning his bachelor of science degree in computer science engineering in December, 2013 from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. He will be employed with Microsoft in September, 2014. 

Hannah and Lee met in preschool at B’nai Amoona Early Childhood Center and attended Solomon Schechter Day School together from kindergarten through eighth grade. Lee surprised Hannah with a proposal in the Beit Midrash of the Saul Mirowitz Jewish Community School when Hannah and her family were taking a tour of the building.  The school is named for his late great-uncle. 

A January, 2014 wedding is planned.
