Dana Alyse Holcman, daughter of Sam and Janis Holcman of Farmington Hills, Mich. and Andrew Louis Baer, son of James and Barbara Baer of Olivette, have announced their engagement. 

She is the granddaughter of Saba Holcman of Detroit and the late Charlotte and Phillip Edelheit of Detroit. Her fiancé is the grandson of the late Otto and the late Maxine Baer of St. Louis and Chana and the late Leon Cranis of St. Louis. 

The bride-to-be earned her bachelors of arts degree from the University of Michigan and earned her master’s degree in social work from Fordham University in New York. She is an enterprise architect at the Pinnacle Business Group. Her fiancé received his bachelor of arts degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind. He is currently an account manager at CH Robinson. The couple live in Chicago. 

A September, 2012 wedding is planned in Park City, Utah.
