Ashley Grosz, daughter of Keith and Judy Grosz of Chesterfield, and Jensen Szakaly, son of Chris and Ruth Szakaly of Dowagiac, Mich., have announced their engagement.

Ashley is the granddaughter of Shirlene and the late Irl Baris of St. Louis, and the late June and Leonard Grosz of Chesterfield. Jenson is the grandson of Dr. John and the late Jean Szakaly of South Bend, Ind., and Carol and the Late Russell Carter of Champaign, Ill.

The bride-to-be earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Eller School of Business at University of Arizona. She is currently Vice-President of Market Strategy at PennyMac. Her fiancé received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Mendoza College of Business at University of Notre Dame and is currently Senior Vice-President of Mortgage Operations at PennyMac.

Ashley and Jensen met in Los Angeles six years ago during PennyMac’s first-ever orientation. Jensen proposed to Ashley on the beach in San Diego in the rain five years later. Their families were all waiting at the hotel to congratulate them.

A May 2018 wedding is planned.
