Gordon-Elfrink Engagement

Jennifer Lynn Gordon, daughter of Gay Gordon of Chesterfield and Rick and Jodi Gordon of St. Louis, and Kyle Thomas Elfrink, son of Del and Theresa Elfrink of Cape Girardeau, Mo., have announced their engagement.
She is the granddaughter of the late Walter and Beverlee Morris and the late Maurice and Bernice Gordon, all of St. Louis. He is the grandson of the late Albert and Catherine Elfrink of Leopold, Mo., and of the late Frank and Elizabeth DeBrock of Glennon, Mo.
The bride-to-be is a 2003 graduate of Parkway Central High School in Chesterfield.
She received a bachelor of arts degree in social work from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a master’s degree in science and education from Missouri Baptist University. Her fiancé is a 1997 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School in Cape Girardeau. He received a bachelor of arts degree in broadcast journalism from UM-Columbia.
They met on a blind date at Pi Pizzeria April 1, 2012. The engagement came at the end of a Mediterranean cruise around Spain, France and Italy, with the “knee drop” atop the Eiffel Tower in Paris on May 1, 2013, followed by a cruise along the Seine River and a walk up into the hills of Montmarte. An October, 2014 wedding is planned.
