Rachel Goldman and Joe Elyachar have announced their engagement.

Rachel is the daughter of Larry and Natalie Goldman of Chesterfield and Karen Karty and Jim Blessing of St. Louis. She is the granddaughter of the late Ann and Alfred Haffner and the late David Goldman, and Daniel Karty and the late Frances Karty.

Joe is the son of David Elyachar and Andrea Elyachar of Kansas City, Kan. He is the grandson of Pat Sylvia of Boston and the late Daniel Elyachar, and the late Leonard and the late Bea Katz.

The bride-to-be graduated with a psychology degree from Auburn University in Auburn, Ala.  She is currently a graduate student at University of Missouri – Kansas City, studying art education.

The groom-to-be graduated from University of Arizona with a degree in business administration.  He is currently the General Manager of Big Bob’s Flooring Outlet in Kansas City.

Rachel and Joe met through J-Date and became engaged at a housewarming party, surrounded by family and friends.

An October 2016 wedding is planned.
