Friedman-Tasman Wedding

Emily Tamara Friedman, daughter of Alan and Maxine Friedman of Chesterfield, and Jamie Adam Tasman, son of Maury and Lynn Tasman of Louisville, Ky. were married Aug. 6, 2011 at The Chase Park Plaza Hotel, where Rabbi Jeffrey Stiffman officiated. A wedding reception followed.
She is the granddaughter of the late Irving and the late Esther Friedman of St. Louis and the late Dr. George and the late Mildred Charnas of Detroit, Mich. He is the grandson of the late Herbert and Ruth Goltz of Southbend, Ind. and the late Irving and Ruby Tasman of Louisville, Ky.
The bride earned her bachelor of science degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich. and earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fla. She is currently an attorney with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
The groom earned his bachelor of science degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind. He is currently a cloud computing solutions architect for IBM Software Group.
The wedding party included the groom’s sisters, Laurie Paris and Danielle Tasman; the groom’s niece, Ilana Paris; the groom’s nephew, Jordan Paris; the groom’s brother-in-law, Jason Paris; and the bride’s brother, Scott Friedman.
The couple met in Washington, D.C. and became engaged at the Missouri Botanical Garden.
Following a wedding trip to Australia and New Zealand, the couple resides in Bethesda, Md.
