Lindsey Frachtman, daughter of Dr. Richard and Anne Frachtman of Houston, and Scott Friedman, son of Neil and Carol Friedman of Chesterfield, have announced their engagement.

Lindsey is the granddaughter of Jack and Germaine Lalouf, and Dr. H. Julian and Marijane Frachtman of blessed memory, all of Houston.

Scott is the grandson of Louis and Rosalie Allen of blessed memory of Birmingham, Ala., and Joseph and Sophia Friedman of blessed memory of Godfrey, Ill.

The bride-to-be, a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and Midwestern University in Glendale, Ariz., received a Masters of Medical Science.  She also completed a fellowship in emergency medicine at Ben Taub General Hospital.  Lindsey is now a Physician Assistant at Baylor College of Medicine in the Family Medicine Department.

The groom-to-be graduated with honors from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and Political Science. He earned his law degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law. Scott is now an Associate Attorney at Locke Lord, LLC in Houston.

Lindsey and Scott met at a Sukkot celebration at Hillel at Rice University in Houston in 2013.

A November 2016 wedding is planned.
