Taylor Lynn Edwards, daughter of Stacy and Bill Parks of Joliet, Ill., and Joseph Cole Harper, son of Cindy and Scott Harper of Chesterfield, have announced their engagement.

Taylor is the granddaughter of Pamela and Henry Edwards of Minooka, Ill. Cole is the grandson of Adele Price of Leawood, Kan., and the late N. Joseph Price, as well as the late Dorothy and Robert Harper.

Taylor graduated from Minooka High School and received a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Roosevelt University in Chicago. She currently works at Delrey MD in Los Angeles. Cole graduated from Parkway Central High School and received a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is a technology entrepreneur in Los Angeles.

The couple met at a karaoke night in Chicago. To propose, Cole flew Taylor to Napa for a wine tasting and asked her to marry him at Kuleto Winery.

An October, 2018 wedding is planned in Temecula, Calif.
