DAVIES-HALPERN WEDDING

Elise Gail Golde Davies, daughter of Morton (the late Sybil) Golde currently of Jacksonville, Fla., and Scott Alan Halpern, son of Melvin (the late Beatrice) Halpern and Meryl Halpern of Creve Coeur were married at noon on December 12, 2012 at the groom’s home in Atlanta, Ga., where Rabbi Elana Perry of Temple Sinai of Atlanta officiated. A wedding reception followed.
The groom proposed via a greeting card exactly one year before the chosen wedding date. Davies and Halpern are the parents of Micah (Davies) and Forest Beall and grandparents of Murphy and Elizabeth Beall of Dallas, Texas.
Davies received a bachelor of arts degree at Louisiana State University, a master’s in education from the University of Alabama – Birmingham, and a master’s in medical science at Emory University in Atlanta. She is currently coordinator of b’nai mitzvot at Temple Sinai in Atlanta.
Halpern earned a bachelor of arts degree from Michigan State University, a master’s in accounting from the University of Missouri, a law degree from Emory University Law School in Atlanta, and a master’s in tax law from New York University. He is currently a practicing attorney in the city of Atlanta.
Following a short honeymoon on Sanibel Island, Fla., the couple will reside in Atlanta.
